...and still had begged for more

The eagle's back and I restored a former self of mine. For the first time in weeks I don't feel like sleeping or eating or doing anything else than laughing, dancing and drinking.

I am again amazed at the resemblance between the two of us, reaching from the same taste in ice cream over similar amaze at the beauty of the mountains to the identical way of crossing our feet when concentrating. Same incisive minds, same dark humor. My little alter ego.

Over the past days, I was in turn Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle, teaching and learning and never having enough. And moreover, I could have danced all night...

HERO OF THE DAY: The elephant, for being so funny my throat was sore from all the laughs.

Farfaraway

The eagle wrote to me today, after what seemed like ages of not communicating. And suddenly I remembered how I felt about him and how thinking of him evolved over the past time. How enthusiasm turned to fear and insecurity and then faded away as some other pet captivated my attention. And suddenly, when he turned out of the SMS-darkness, I had to smile. Because it seemed that I wasn’t wrong about him after all – he is still my farfaraway alter ego.

I think this is beginning of beautiful friendship

Well, as you haven't heard much from me lately, I feel obliged to tell you how the eagle story ended. It was the sweetest defeat I have ever taken from anyone, as it turned out I was completely wrong about the eagle. Not only is he very smart, but also more mature than I could have ever imagined (well - at least sometimes).

During our last days together, I grew very fond of him. And well, I don't know whether I managed to change something in his life, but he definetly managed to alter something in me. It was a long time since I had seen in someone my younger alter-ego, and even longer sinced I felt such amazing connection with someone "at first sight".

Thing is, I couldn't keep away from him. And, finally, I guess, in one of our last nights together, over a magnificent and philosophical drunkenness, a great friendship emerged.

For that, dear eagle, I proclaim you HERO OF THE YEAR, as you managed, among other pets I love but as the newest one, to make my start-of-2008 absolutely gorgeous.

Stupid f**king resolutions!

This post is about self-criticism. It´s new years morning and I strangely and stupidly encountered myself wishing for the same things I did two years ago. TWO YEARS AGO!!!!! That either means that wished rarely change over time, or that I have changed so little, that it scares me.
Next to that, I should probably add that my last posts were written in a state of evolved drunkenness. Note to self: drunk-posting is less harmless than drunk-smsing, considering the fact that it keeps you some kind of anonymous.

In what matters the eagle, no positive results so far. I encounter this will be one of the great failures we all talk about.

Marrakech experience

Yes, yes, my dears, I am in Morokko right now. And, given the unusual circumstances, I have the pleasure of introducing........ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-taaaaaaa.........the eagle!

The eagle is some years younger than me. Fortunately and unfortunately.

Fortunately because now I see myself as a type of mentor for him, as he has yet so much to learn and I have so much to teach him. Unfortunately because....well, you can imagine why.
It must be said of course that this relationship is, as many many others I have and will have for the rest of my life with the pets I adore, a purely intellectual one. Yes, I know, my life is boring, but you see, when the responsibility of splitting acquaintances in male and female is taken from you, it leaves you with much more time to actually explore the beautiful in their characters.

So, let us get back to the eagle, as there is little time left for me and you are probably very curious to know what he is made of. Well, my dears, the eagle is not made of flesh and blood, like the rest of us, but of pride and insecurity. Although he is one of the smartest people I have met so far. Of course. No stupid people are insecure, they don't have a clue about what their are missing.

Well, and because the eagle is so insecure and I have but two days left to convince him of the opposite, please hold your fingers crossed for the succeeding of this difficult task. Believe me, every bit of effort is worth it.
