"The Jane Austen Book Club" is not a groundbreaking movie. It's not even spectacular or outstandingly original.
But it still moved me to tears. One one hand because of this eccentrical person who gathers up these different people around her and excites them about Austen's books, but mostly, on the other hand, for presenting these different characters who communicate over a form of art.
Seeing the movie, which, as a plot, wasn't a revelation and had your next-door happy ending, I couldn't help but wonder: how often do we really try find a way of communicating to others differently than just through words? And when real-life words fail to do the job, how creative can we be in transmitting to the other what and how we feel?
