"So what did he do wrong?" a voice asked, when I described a sweet thing that impressed me on a dear pet.
And I couldn't help but wonder: Must a (wo)/man do necessarily something wrong in order to compensate it with a nice gesture? When have we become so cynical that we can't be happy about a good deed without looking for the bad in it?
Why can't we just let go and accept being loved and love back, no further strings attached?
And most of all, why do we always look for the evil involved in good things that happen to us, while when something bad happens we never bother to find the good in it?
